21CD, a developer of multimedia marketing CDs and DVDs that include what I calls “trackable” information, is working with the Research Triangle Regional Partnership to produce a CD promoting the region.

The CD-ROM will serve as a business resource guide and is designed to serve as an economic development and recruiting tool for the RTRP. It will include links and information about the 13 counties that make up the group.

The partnership is also working with the North Carolina Department of Commerce on the project.

Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Granville, Harnett, Johnston, Lee, Moore, Orange, Person, Vance, Wake and Warren counties make up the partnership.

“The RTRP Business Resource Guide will demonstrate the scope of business and industry in this region,” said Peter Nyberg, president of 21 CD, Inc. “RTRP realizes the impact the CD format can make in marketing, especially when compared to the limitations of one-dimensional printed marketing materials.

“A key advantage of using multimedia CDs for this economic development campaign will be our unique ability to track usage,” he added. “All involved expect a tremendous response, as our CD-based direct marketing initiatives typically result in better than 15 percent usage.”

Each CD will include customization features such as a private label for counties and a variety of messages.
