Engineering and design firm Kimley-Horn, currently based in Cary, is moving its headquarters to downtown Raleigh next year.

Julie Beauvais, vice president and communcations director says, “We decided to downtown to be closer to a growing number of our clients, and to take advantage of the growing and vibrant atmosphere of downtown Raleigh. This move will also let us combine the staff in our Cary office with those in our downtown office for greater collaboration. We will be located on three floors in the Bank of America building on Fayetteville Street, next to Red Hat and Duke Energy.”

The company will lease 55,000 square feet in the One Bank of America Plaza tower on Fayetteville Street. The company already has a small Raleigh office and the new building, which has a space becoming vacant in December, will consolidate both that and the Cary office staffs. The company employs about 190 people at the two locations.

The move is planned for April 2016.
