Several nascent startups are on this list, providing opportunities for developers to get in really early and signifying some new players in the Triangle tech scene as we move into 2016.

This month’s startup jobs are below (and here’s the October 2015 installment):

Alpha Health Ventures

This Durham startup is still under development, but is tackling the healthcare industry. Part of the team is in Pune, India, but a new front end developer will work with the user experience designer in Durham. Here’s the posting.

Cognitect

A designer and Clojure developer are wanted at the consultancy that helps major retail, transportation, finance and healthcare companies build better information systems. Here are the descriptions.

Disco Melee

This team of gamers is creating the ultimate social network for the global gaming community. There’s already a pretty large team on board, but three developers are needed to take the network out of beta and open it up for everyone. Here are the job descriptions.

EmployUs

There are no specific job postings, but CEO Ryan O’Donnell says he’ll hire two or three people before the end of the year for sales and engineering roles at the Raleigh startup changing the way companies recruit staff. Email careers@employus.co to be considered.

Fidelity Labs

This might not sound like a startup job, but Fidelity Labs is a business incubation team developing new products and services for various entities within Fidelity Investments, the epitome of intrapreneurship. Roles range from director of product management to design researcher to senior DevOps engineer. All are based in Durham.

First.

Its seed funding in hand and CTO hard at work, the analytics company helping Realtors target potential customers at the time they’re most likely to look for a new home is ready to bring on a principal engineer. This is someone with at least eight years of software development experience…who might like a (potential) six-figure salary and some equity. Here’s the posting.

GuestPilot

Here’s another new startup in Raleigh looking for a developer. Founder Kevin Dannecker, a veteran of the telecom industry, has the vision of making it easy for hotels to let their customers stream their own Netflix, YouTube, Hulu and other video content on televisions. Here’s an open Android developer job.

Invariant/Schulteis Ventures

This Chapel Hill startup promises to help patients figure out why an insurance claim was rejected or under-reimbursed using software. It’s led by Duke University School of Medicine professor Ryan SchulteisHere’s a chance to become the lead developer.

iScribes

The Durham startup with mobile technology that transcribes notes and frees up the doctor to interact with patients is growing fast, with need for a new operations team leader to oversee its virtual scribes. Here’s the job description.

Kinethics

A game designer and developer contract position is open at a Chapel Hill startup born at UNC’s Journalism School and with a goal to end global corruption. It provides corporate compliance training that involves storytelling and fun. Here’s the AngelList posting.

Mati Energy

Durham’s (healthy) energy drink of choice is fast going national with a new distribution deal and its first shelf-stable cans. To help the scaling effort, the startup is hiring directors of sales and finance, as well as a growth hacker focused on e-commerce and digital marketing and an intern brand ambassador. All jobs are here.

Shoeboxed

The Durham company that automates receipt collection and reporting has a bunch of new projects in the pipeline and needs a new director of engineering (or senior software engineer) to oversee the team of developers working on those and the legacy product. While Shoeboxed doesn’t necessarily count as a startup, it’s based at American Underground and is always innovating. Here’s the job description.

WeaveUp

Few details here and a not yet launched product, but WeaveUp appears to be a marketplace of crowdsourced designs that can be printed on various products for the home or office. Its CTO is Wade Minter, who previously served as CTO at AdWerx in Durham. Three software engineering positions are open in Raleigh now.
