DURHAM – Big Top, the jobs platform and event series focused on matching employers and job candidates, will unveil a new software suite as well as a revised series of jobs-related events on Monday.

Nearly 500 people are already registered to attend the event at the American Tobacco Historic District.

Big Top has been testing the software for several months, and the talent pool has nearly doubled in size to more than 5,000 people.

“Beyond capital, talent is one of the key drivers of startup success,” says Big Top Director, Molly Demarest. “Startups in the region are experiencing enormous growth, and they’re looking to tap into a larger talent pool beyond their personal networks. Through Big Top, we’re enhancing the Triangle’s position as a top startup community by seamlessly connecting talent and startups through a trusted network.”

Six companies looking for employees are scheduled to be part of the kickoff:

  • Automated Insights
  • Bee Downtown
  • K4Connect
  • Pendo
  • SugarCRM
  • Teamworks

Big Top is part of The American Underground, which is owned by Capitol Broadcasting, the corporate parent of WRAL TechWire. Capitol acquired Big Top last year.

“Access to talent is a critical element to the success of companies, regardless of size or industry,” says Doug Speight, Executive Director, American Underground. “At this pivotal time in the evolution of our region, a centralized hub designed to connect people and organizations is exactly what we need to take the Triangle to the next level.”

Monday’s event begins at 6:30 p.m.
