DURHAM – An entrepreneur-turned-investor, a veteran investor and a senior executive at SAS will serve as co-chairs for the Tech Conference put on by the Council for Entrepreneurial Development.

The three:

  • Joe Colopy, Investor, Colopy Ventures (pictured above)
  • Jeff Muir, Founder and Partner, Fulcrum Equity Partners
  • Russ Cobb, Senior Vice President of Growth and Business Operations, SAS

“I am thrilled to co-chair the CED Tech Conference this year. Over the past 20 years, I have enjoyed the conference immensely – first as a student volunteer, later as an entrepreneur and speaker, and now as an active investor,” said Colopy in a statement. “The CED Tech Conference continues to be the must-attend event for the region’s tech entrepreneurs and their investors.”

Colopy co-founded Bronto Software in Durham and struck out on his own after selling Bronto to NetSuite for some $200 million. NetSuite was later acquired by Oracle.’

The two-day conference, which is in its 34th year, is set for Sept. 12-13 in Raleigh.
