DURHAM – Startup Noteninja, which recently landed a $50,000 grant from the NC IDEA Foundation, wasted no time finding an exit.

The company, co-founded and led by CEO Matt Finneran, has been acquired by Atlanta-based SalesLoft, a sales engagement platform provider, in a deal announced Monday morning.

“Today, we are excited to announce the acquisition of meeting intelligence provider, Noteninja,” said SalesLoft co-founder and CEO Kyle Porter in a blog post.

“I’m incredibly proud for what this means to our customers and the advanced opportunity they will now have to deliver a better sales experience to their customers.”

Financial terms weren’t disclosed.

Noteninja landed the non-dilutive business development grant last November.

The firm is a B2B SaaS collaboration software used by large organizations to capture and utilize their sales conversations for the purposes of coaching, ongoing training and ramping new reps. Account executives, customer success teams and field reps record their conversations with NoteNinja because it’s the easiest way to get better at talking to customers, communicate internally about customer needs and retain 100% accurate knowledge of all conversations.

NoteNinja and SalesLoft already had a common customer – Triangle-based Dude Solutions which “relies on both SalesLoft and Noteninja today to deliver better selling experiences for their customers,” Ported noted.

“Many SalesLoft customers are already leveraging this [Noteninja] solution to scale performance across their teams and coach their reps more effectively,” he added.

Donna Sanborn from Dude Solutions told Porter: “Having a record of all our meetings and interactions, and being able to quickly pinpoint and learn from what’s working best across our teams – has been a game changer for our organization. We’re able to onboard and coach our reps easier, and we’re seeing the results as those reps become more effective sellers.”

SalesLoft offers what it calls “sales cadences” with sales intelligence, enabling “execs to better sales.”

Noteninja technology will be incorporated into the SalesLoft platform.
