RALEIGH – Companies across North Carolina are looking to fill more than 20,000 information technology jobs, according to the latest Tech Talent Trends Alert from the NC Technology Association.

The total openings of 20,465 is slightly below the 21,570 in March, which had been the highest over the previous 12 months.

The April report also is the third highest since early 2017, the second previous high being 20,514 last October.

A lower number didn’t discourage NC TECH’s CEO Brooks Raiford.

“Although there was a dip in IT job openings in April compared to March, the encouraging trend is that both March and April had the highest availability over the past 12-months,” Raiford said.

The NC Technology Association (NC TECH) is sponsored by Green Resiurces.
