Cary logistics technology company MercuryGate is being acquired by Summit Partners, a Boston alternative investment company. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 2oo0, MercuryGate makes software solution for complex transportation freight management. In 2017, it managed more than $70 billion a year.

The ocmpany’s  single-platform, global Transportation Management System (TMS) supports all modes of delivery. The TMS Software enables shippers, third-party logistics providers (3PLs), brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers the ability to procure, plan, optimize, execute, and settle their freight movements with full control-tower

Joe Juliano will be CEO, replacing Monica Wooden, Mercury’s co-founder. She will become chief revenue officer, and her co-founder, Mercury presient Steve Blough will become chief product officer.
