It’s celebration time: An updated preview of year-end events across NC

With the holiday hustle and bustle quickly approaching, event organizers across North Carolina are sending out their RSVP invites for year-end celebrations.

In an effort to help readers balance work with fun, TechWire is putting out a guide to the holiday-themed parties and events happening across North Carolina in the next month.

Charlotte Chamber North Chapter: Speed Networking at the Speedway

December 4, 4-7 p.m. @Charlotte Motor Speedway

Come network with the business community while getting a sneak peek at the Speedway’s Christmas light decorations at the next “Speed Networking at the Speedway” event, held by Charlotte Chamber. Beverages and appetizers will be provided.

Healthtech Women’s 1st Annual Happiest Holiday Party

At this holiday-themed networking event, Healthtech Women Charlotte will recognize the organization’s partners and volunteers, receive feedback on the year’s events and reveal 2019 programming. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages provided.

American Underground’s 2018 End of Year Celebration and AU Awards

December 5, 6-9 p.m. @The Cotton Room

The startup community is invited to join American Underground in celebrating the accomplishments and contributions of the Triangle’s entrepreneurial scene this year. The event will introduce AU’s first-ever awards, “The Undies,” which will be granted to the organization’s most notable members. All proceeds from the event will go to Code The Dream.

Larger Than Life Science: Big Holiday Party

December 6, 4-7 p.m. @The Chesterfield

Next up in LaunchBio’s Larger Than Life Science event series is a special holiday celebration featuring a panel of HR experts, science comedian Brian Malow, a guided constellation tour in the Museum of Life & Science’s Star Lab and glitter-sprinkled beer from Durty Bull Brewing Company. Tickets are free.

Silicon Hollar Year End Celebration

December 6, 6-8 p.m. @American Legion Hall

Join Silicon Hollar for food, drinks and celebration of the accomplishments of Western North Carolina’s startup community. This event also features pitches from Velocity Labs companies, a raffle and a talk from NC IDEA President Thom Ruhe.

BABC Charlotte: Holiday & Good Cheer Luncheon

BABC Charlotte invites the community to join for a holiday party to wrap up the year.
