DURHAM – The head of LED lighting at Cree has left the company in the latest management change made by CEO Greg Lowe since he joined the technology conglomerate in 2017.

In a brief SEC filing, Cree (Nasdaq: Cree) said Friday that David Emerson, a veteran Cree exec whose tenure extended back to previous CEO Chuck Swoboda, “stepped down” as executive vice president and general manager for LED Products.

He was replaced that same day – Dec. 14 – by Claude Demby who inherited the same title, according to the filing. Demby joined Cree in 2017.

The filing was signed by Neill Reynolds, the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, who is a recent addition to Cree under Lowe’s leadership.

Since taking over as CEO, Lowe has shuffled much of the senior management team and shifted focus from lighting to Cree’s Wolfspeed power subsidiary.

The filing can be read online.
