DURHAM – Add the new Alliance of American Football league to clients who are using the social engagement platform for collegiate and pro organizations from Durham’s Teamworks.

Alliance of American Football

The league launches its first season this weekend.

Teamworks’ reputation in football is unmatched, with the majority of our coaches, staff and players having used the platform with other pro or collegiate teams,” said Tom Veit, head of business operations for The Alliance, in announcing the deal.  “At The Alliance we’re committed to providing our teams the very best tools and technology to succeed off the field and Teamworks was a clear choice.  Simply put, each team will be at its best with Teamworks.”

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Teamworks already works with some 2,500 collegiate and national teams using the platform for communications and logistics, data gathering and sharing.

“We’re proud to partner with The Alliance as they begin their first season,” said Zach Maurides, CEO and founder of Teamworks, in a statement.  “With every member of the league connected on our platform, The Alliance will be able to focus on winning rather than logistics.”

The eight-team league kicks off Saturday night with two games:

  • San Diego at San Antonio
  • Atlanta at Orlando

And two more on Sunday:

  • Memphis at Birmingham
  • Salt Lake at Arizona
