CHARLOTTE — Flagship Healthcare Trust (Flagship REIT), a private healthcare real estate investment trust managed by Flagship Healthcare Properties, has raised $5 million in equity.

Under the business name, Flagship Healthcare Operating Partnership, the Charlotte firm raised the funds from one investor, according to a recent SEC filing.

The filing did not disclose how the company plans to use the funds. Since 2017, the firm has raised more than $68 million.

According to its website, the firm currently manages more than 3 million square feet of healthcare real estate encompassing over 100 properties.

The majority of those properties are based in North Carolina, including the Cotswold Medical Center in Charlotte, Knightdale Medical Office Building in Raleigh, and the Greensboro Professional Medical Center.

Others are scattered around Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

Flagship provides a full range of real estate services, including “investment and capital solutions; development, property sales, leasing, and marketing; and facilities, property, and asset management.”

J. Brannen Edge III, president of the Flagship Healthcare Trust, signed off on the filing.

Other persons listed as being related to fundraise included W. Campbell, chief executive officer and director of general partner, as well as M. Broyhill, Theresa Gebhardt, Nelson Schwab III, Bradley Carroll, all listed as directors of general partner.
