Veritas Collaborative, a Durham-based specialty hospital system for treating eating disorders, has raised more than $5.6 million in equity, according to a recent regulatory filing.

The firm raised the funds from 38 investors. The filing didn’t disclose how the company plans to use the funds.

It’s not the first big raise for Veritas. In February, it raised nearly $5.8 million in equity, and another $19 million combined from the two years prior.

That brings the total raised to around $30 million to date.

The multidisciplinary staff of Veritas Collaborative is comprised of doctors, psychotherapists, nurses, and educators.

It has locations in Durham, Richmond, VA, and Atlanta, GA.

The company says it provides comprehensive, evidence-based care for persons with eating disorders.
