RALEIGHPRA Health Sciences is on the move.

The contract research organization with headquarters in Raleigh just snagged a spot on Fortune’s fastest-growing companies list, ranking 87 with $2.8 million in revenue past four quarters.

It also expanded its data solutions division, Symphony Health. This week, it announced it entered into a strategic partnership with Close-Up International, a Latin American-based provider of medical prescription and sales audits.

“The data solutions and insights available through Symphony and Close-Up International will drive future drug development and commercialization strategies,”  Doug Fulling, Symphony Health’s president, said in a statement.

Founded in 1976, the company moved its global headquarters to Raleigh in 2008. It specializes in clinical research, Phase I-lla, Phase II-lll, post approval, therapeutic exercise, biosimilars, rare disease and oncology.

Since 2000, PRA has participated in more than 3,800 clinical trials and participated in regulatory approval of more than 85 products. It now has over 16,000 employees operating in more than 90 countries.

Every year, Fortune releases a list ranking the world’s top three-year performers in revenues, profits and stock returns. The list provides a snapshot of the trends driving the economy.

Other North Carolina companies to make the list included Live Oak Bancshares (36), First Bancorp (49), BMC Stock Holdings (68).
