RALEIGH – Egnyte, a Silicon Valley software firm focusing on secure content services for businesses, is expanding its footprint to the Triangle. And jobs are available, the company saying it plans to bring 120 jobs to Raleigh,

Company executives will be in Raleigh today for the opening of its latest office in the PNC Plaza at 301 Fayetteville St.

“We’ve been monitoring Raleigh for quite some time and we see it becoming one of the next big tech hubs,” said Vineet Jain, CEO and co-founder at Egnyte.

“Like previous tech hubs in Ann Arbor and Austin, we see Spokane, Washington, and Raleigh, North Carolina as the next hubs to double down our investments. Our goal has been and will continue to be, to step outside of the highly-competitive Silicon Valley market and seek out the top talent in other blossoming regions around the world,” he added in the expansion announcement.

Eric Cross, Egnyte’s chief revenue officer, is to be on hand for the launch which is set for 3 p.m. The office is located on the 18th floor.

Egnyte also is planning an on-site job fair in its search for more talent.

Backed by high-profile investors such as Google Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Goldman Sachs, Engyte offers a software-as-a-solution for data management. The firm says it has more than 15,000 customers worldwide.

Engyte  currently has more than 700 workers spread across its headquarters in Mountain View and offices in Washington, Poland as well as England.
