More news and information for entrepreneurs to use in building and growing businesses is available from TechWire as we continue to make additions to our Triangle Startup Guide.

Every Monday, we’re sharing a digest of the changes and additions we make to the guide.

Last week, we added three new listings to the communities/networks/memberships section:

  • TiE Carolinas, a not-for-profit organization that provides mentoring, education, networking, funding and incubation for startups in North and South Carolina.
  • Alliance of Women in Tech Leadership, a network of Triangle executives aiming to advance women in technology through collaboration and education.
  • The North Carolina Community College System’s Small Business Center Network, which includes over 50 programs spanning across the state. The Small Business Centers provide training, resources, government procurement services and counseling for startups and small businesses.

We also added another listing to the more resources section: A helpful list of national funding opportunities for clean energy startups, compiled by SJF Ventures Managing Director Dave Kirkpatrick. It includes everything from non-dilutive grants and government support to startup labs and incubators to VC firms.

We want to continue encouraging readers to share suggestions and feedback to help us make the guide better. Is there something you think we’re missing? Feel free to send me an email or tweet me (@ShannonCuthrell) your suggestions.
