RALEIGH — MemberHub Inc., which sells a SaaS-cloud software communications system to parent-teacher groups and other organizations, has raised $1.2 million, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Nine investors contributed to the round, which is capped at $3.95 million with $2.75 million remaining to be sold.

The filing noted that funds would be used for “the payment of salaries and other compensation and benefits.”

The startup raised an additional $595,000 in debt back in December 2018.

Based out of Raleigh, MemberHub is on a mission “to connect and empower parent-teacher groups to engage families,” the firm said on its website. Its SaaS solution solves the administrative burdens that drain time and energy for these nonprofits.

The product’s services are meant to be comprehensive and include: online signups, calendars, text messages, reminders, newsletters and email, file storage, photo albums, whiteboards, payments and activity feeds.
