MORRISVILLE – HZO, a technology-based waterproofing company, has formally opened its new headquarters in the Triangle.

The facility will accommodate the company’s rapid global growth and need to access top technical talent, the company said.

“We wanted to center ourselves in a community that affords us access to top talent, university partnerships, cutting-edge technology, and a great quality of life,” said Stephen Gold, chief commercial officer at HZO.

HZO’s global operations already include 12 factories and more than 2000 employees.

The new headquarters will provide the former Utah-based company with up to ten times more U.S.-based manufacturing space and four times more research and development space. The company is expecting to bring over 500 jobs to the Research Triangle Park region.

[“We’ve seen tremendous growth in the region and Morrisville continues to attract companies leading in innovation,” said Mayor TJ Cawley of Morrisville. “We welcome HZO’s decision to move their headquarters to North Carolina with access to a robust ecosystem of talent and competitive advantage.”]

HZO is a waterproofing company that uses nano-coating to protect electronic devices against water and other liquids.
