More news and information for entrepreneurs to use in building and growing businesses is available from WRAL TechWire as we continue to make additions to our Triangle Startup Guide.
Also, be sure to check out our extensive calendar listings for December and January, plus our meetups list – all linked at the bottom of this post.
Every Monday, we’re sharing a digest of the changes and additions we make to the Triangle Startup Guide.
Here’s what we did last week:
- We added Midtown Techies to the free events and meetups section of the guide, under the Downtown Techies listing. The Midtown Techies meetup is a monthly networking/happy hour event for local tech professionals and entrepreneurs. Events are held on the last Tuesday of every month.
- We added another listing to the events section: StartupBlink Raleigh-Durham, a local meetup group that hosts casual networking events, startup lectures and weekly online pitching events.
- We updated the inspiration/more resources page to include a link to the new 2019 impact report from Duke University’s Office of Licensing and Ventures, released earlier this month. The 2019 report shows a record number of invention disclosures and agreements to $58 million in revenue. Two Duke spinouts went public, bringing Duke’s total of IPOs to nine.
Is there something you think the guide is missing? Feel free to send me an email or tweet me (@ShannonCuthrell) your suggestions and feedback.
