GREENSBOROApplications are being accepted through Feb. 28 for the NorthState Tech Lab at HQ Greensboro.

Tech Lab, which is offered at no cost to participants, is a six-week series of programs that provide business, financial modeling, technical and marketing skills to emerging entrepreneurs in the Piedmont Triad.

Six start-up enterprises will be selected from the pool of applicants to participate in the NorthState Tech Lab, which will begin April 13 and conclude May 18, 2020.  Tech Lab is open to a wide variety of entrepreneurs, but special consideration is given to those who include a social entrepreneurism component.

“NorthState partnered with HQ Greensboro to launch the first NorthState Tech Lab in 2018 to foster entrepreneurial growth for emerging local technology companies,” NorthState President and Chief Executive Officer Royster Tucker III said in a release.  “This spring will be our fourth Tech Lab, which has proved to be very helpful to past participants.  We’re excited to see the entrepreneurial efforts of our new cohort and look forward to equip them with the critical skills needed to be successful.”

Tech Lab also participants receive access to a dedicated workspace and full membership benefits at HQ Greensboro, a shared workspace in downtown Greensboro, for two-and-a-half months.

“HQ Greensboro believes in driving forward with purpose and leaving the world better than we found it,” HQ Greensboro Executive Director Kaitlin Conover said. “We are excited that the NorthState Tech Lab has been enhanced with a social entrepreneurism component—a version of entrepreneurism that is in direct alignment with our core values at HQ Greensboro.”
