RALEIGH — A Raleigh-based startup is looking to bring a new kind of high-tech, activity-based shooting center to the city this summer – but it’s already offering pre-opening memberships.

OnPoint today announced a monthly plan of $60 that includes unlimited range use, priority reservations and access to discounted subscription services. The first 500 members to sign will also receive additional benefits including access to range and live gaming experiences before OnPoint opens to the public.

And unlike traditional ranges, they say, the center is one where women and young adults will feel welcome.

“We’re inviting 500 enthusiasts who can’t wait to try the uniquely immersive and engaging OnPoint live-fire and live gaming experiences to become our POINT Members,” said Houck Reed, OnPoint CEO, in a statement. “Our goal is to provide exceptional experiences and service that make every member and guest a frequent visitor. Membership is the cost-effective way to come regularly and often. We’re excited to invite POINT Members in early and to welcome everyone at the grand opening this summer.”

The Raleigh OnPoint facility is currently under construction at 3501 Spring Forest Road.

There will be a communal area, 18 live-fire lanes , “dynamic target systems,” custom movement-based training programs and OnPoint’s proprietary gamification technology.

POINT members begin paying the $60 monthly fee once OnPoint Raleigh opens for POINT Member hours.
