ASHEVILLE  — Ecobot is scaling with three new hires.

The Asheville-based developer of environmental data reporting software has named Mike Connors as its director of Customer Success. He recently served for the revenue operations platform Clari and the customer experience management platform Sprinklr. He has been an advisor to Ecobot since 2018

It has also appointed Emmet McGovern as its director of Engineering and Alana Cloud as strategic account specialist. McGovern is one of the startup’s founding engineers, while Cloud formerly managed a team at the Silicon Valley-based SaaS startup Revel Systems

Ecobot said the additions will enable the startup to enhance its platform “in response to the needs of its growing customer base.”

Ecobot’s co-founders Jeremy Schewe and Lee Lance.

“Our technology wraps around the existing natural resources consulting workflow, and its success is clearly tied to our close collaboration with our customers: the scientists and project managers who use our product every day,” says the company’s CEO and co-founder Lee Lance, in a statement. “Our new hires will play a critical role in furthering our deep collaboration with our customers and perfecting our technology. ”

In addition to the new hires, Ecobot recently promoted Leigh Rothermel, a member of the Ecobot team since November 2019, to senior customer specialist.

“Each brings not only their personal experience but also their institutional knowledge from other successful companies to our agile team,” says Jeremy Schewe, Ecobot co-founder and chief scientific officer, in a statement. “Our team is critical to shaping customer collaboration with product development, and, most importantly, defining our company culture.”

Ecobot is seeking to digitize the industry.  The first version of its software provides a swifter way to input wetland delineation data, provides contextual vegetation and soil data lookups, and automatically generates regulatory reports, all while scientists are in the field.

Cary-based Cofounders Capital is among its investors.
