RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – In this time of social distancing, it’s not easy for startups to connect with potential investors – until now.

The Council for Entrepreneurial Development is redirecting its annual Venture Connect Summit to host Venture Connect Online, giving 95 North Carolina-based startups the chance to virtually connect with investors from around the world, all from home.

Among those signed up: Newsco, ProAxion, ReVibe Technologies and more.

“It is important now, more than ever, to provide access to the vital resources these companies need, so that they can grow, create jobs and move business forward,” said Kelly Rowell, CED’s interim president and CEO.

Starting May 4, participants will have access to up to eight pre-recorded episodes per week in a multi-part series spanning three weeks.

Each episode will contain a four-minute pitch from up to five companies. Attendees will have the opportunity to book live virtual chats, access to investor live sessions and Q&As and exclusive investor only content.

“This format allows you to view presentations when your schedule allows and from the safety of your home,” said Kristina Sandine, CED’s marketing manager. “We encourage all of our attendees to review the agenda now, learn who is presenting, when and plan to request a meeting, once episodes go live.”
