RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – Upper management at tech giant Cisco continues to be reshaped under CEO Chuck Robbins.

The latest move is the departure of Anuj Kapur who had been chief strategy officer.

The Information first reported the news.

“Anuj Kapur, senior vice president and chief strategy officer at Cisco Systems, is leaving the networking company after 15 years, Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins announced in an internal email, which was viewed by The Information,” the news site says.

“Kapur, who held that role since September 2018, oversaw a group that works with Robbins and other top Cisco executives to develop corporate strategy, including investments.”

Robbins has replaced numerous top-level executives as he has reshaped the company to focus more on software and services. A UNc-Chapel Hill graduate, Robbins succeeded longtime CEO and Chair John Chambers.

The Silicon Business Journal says “dozens of longtime employees and executives” have left over the past three years.

Last week, Robbins also laid out a new “purpose” for the company to become more inclusive and diverse.

The tech giant operates one of its largest corporate campuses in RTP.
