RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – Durham based BioAgilytix Labs has partnered with Boston’s Brio Systems to launch a platform to provide U.S. employers comprehensive COVID-19 testing programs.
BioAgilytix, a bioanalytical laboratory with a diagnostic testing division, said the launch of the product, dubbed COVIDence, offers a one-stop solution to manage employee testing and mitigate exposure within workforces.
The service supported by BRIO Systems covers all procedural aspects: sample collection logistics, testing, results reporting for employers and guides effective COVID-19-related risk mitigation strategies.
Brio Systems offers a platform that is designed to expand access to COVID-19 testing and guide risk mitigation strategies. The company’s logistics infrastructure creates a one-stop solution to manage employee testing in conjunction with BioAgilytix Labs’ testing. Both companies advise and oversee the process and ensure the process maximizes business requirements, workplace dynamics, and state-specific regulations.
BioAgilytix uses FDA Emergency Use Authorization-approved, PCR-based TaqPath to perform viral and antibody testing to identify active COVID-19 infection. Individuals who have developed antibodies from past exposure can be detected through the Roche cobas Elecys Anti-SARS-CoC-2 serology test. Both test results will made available to the employer within 48 hours of receipt. Brio’s online portal allows 100% digital workflow and is HIPAA-compliant.
COVIDence specialists can send participating employers sample-collection kits, or send qualified health professionals to collect samples on-site. Mailers are provided to employers and come pre-labeled with postage paid to send to BioAgilytix’s lab.
