RALEIGH – Raleigh-based software developer Pendo has landed on another “hot” list.
Forbes ranked the company No. 54 on its annual list of top privately-held cloud companies, moving up from last year’s No. 95 spot.
“Today is a day for customers and it’s fitting that more than 30% of the Forbes Cloud 100 uses Pendo,” said Pendo CEO and co-founder Todd Olson, in a statement. “I’m excited to receive this recognition during this incredible week of celebration and knowledge-sharing—our growth comes from our relentless focus on customers.”
The recognition comes on the heels of Pendo’s No. 26 ranking on the Inc. 5000 in July.
Founded in 2013, Pendo has been growing consistently at a rate of “100 percent year over year,” Olson told WRAL TechWire last June as part of an extended interview.
At the time, the startup had more than doubled in size – from 174 to 400 employees — in just 18 months. And a pandemic hasn’t done much to change that.
Pendo is building a new headquarters in downtown, and says it is still committed to hiring hundreds of employees over the next five years.
It’s also expanded into Europe, acquiring Receptive Software Limited, a privately held SaaS company based out of Sheffield, England.
The company now has offices in Raleigh, New York City, San Francisco, London, Sheffield, United Kingdom, and Tel Aviv.
Separately, Pendo said it had “record attendance” at its fourth Pendomonium conference — its annual “state of the union” for the company.
Keynotes included NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Blue Apron CEO Linda Kozlowski as well as two dozen sessions led by Pendo customers, executives and product experts.
