DURHAMSmashing Boxes, a custom software development and design firm based in the Bull City, is having a shakeup up top — adding four new executives to its leadership team.

Meanwhile, its founder and CEO, Nick Jordan, will now also serve as chairman.

“Our new leadership team brings together over 50 years of experience, with backgrounds that will bring Smashing Boxes to new heights,” said Jordan. “As CEO and chairman, I will continue to elevate the Smashing Boxes platform and cultivate new relationships. I look forward to seeing Smashing Boxes excel under this new team and the accomplishments to come.”

In addition, Walter Pinson, who previously served as the vice president of strategy and blockchain lead, is now stepping up to become  president and chief operating officer.

Next, Rachel Pickering, who has been part of Smashing Boxes since 2017 as the director of people and operations, has been promoted to vice president of people and operations.

Two new members to the Smashing Boxes team include Tarun Jain, who will serve as vice president of engineering, and Kendra Williams as vice president of sales.

Founded in 2010, Smashing Boxes is a software product development firm with a focus on healthcare, blockchain, and IoT.
