WRAL TechWire keeps making weekly updates to keep content fresh and relevant in our exclusive Triangle Startup Guide.

Last week, we added a new coworking space in Knightdale, a new VC funding source, and a new crowdfunding education resource.

Here’s a brief summary of last week’s updates:

Map of Incubators and Coworking Spaces

We added Hatch64 to our interactive “Startup Spaces” map. This section of the guide spotlights the Triangle’s wide network of coworking spaces and incubators.

In 2020, Wake Forest’s Hatch Coworking opened a new space in Knightdale called Hatch64 (pictured below).

With flexible membership options, Hatch64 caters to entrepreneurs, freelancers, service providers, sales professionals and creatives. The space includes designated desks and open coworking, an events and training center, conference rooms, a cafe and a private podcasting studio.

VC Funding Sources

We updated our list of VC and angel groups to include LOUD Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on social impact.

While it is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, LOUD Capital is building a presence in the Triangle. As TechWire reported last week, the firm recently opened an office in Raleigh and plans to capitalize on the region’s potential.

More Resources

We updated our more resources page to include a link to NC Grind, a new platform launched by CrowdfundNC earlier this month.

The site aggregates sources of “backyard investment opportunities” across North Carolina and serves as an educational resource for the state’s base of entrepreneurs and investors.

If we missed a resource that you think we should add to the Triangle Startup Guide, please don’t hesitate to submit it for inclusion. You can email me directly, tweet me @shannoncuthrell or use this contact form.
