CARY – Epic Games’ antitrust suit against Apple isn’t stopping the Fortnite publisher from having a huge party for Halloween.

Fortnite may have been banned by Apple but its players worldwide can celebrate Halloween through a special performance from “Reggaeton’s Global Ambassador and four-time Latin GRAMMY winner J Balvin.”

The Party Royale will include his biggest hits and, Epic adds, “he is inviting SECH to perform their new single La Luz.”

Epic notes it and Balvin will be uilizing what they call “innovative XR (cross reality) technology using LED walls and camera tracking. Fans won’t want to miss this unique performance on the big screen at Party Royale, where Balvin will perform in a completely virtual world created exclusively for this event.”

The virtual “After Life” party takes place on Fortnite’s “Main Stage: on Oct. 31 at 9 PM (EST) in Party Royale mode, a “no-combat social space where players can get together with friends to catch concerts, watch movies, or just chill,” Epic says.

The concert will also simultaneously be available in Houseparty, the face-to-face social network tha Epic also owns.

Previous Fortnite events have drawn millions of participants.

This one is the “headline” for the “Fortnitemares” event, which kicked off Wednesday.

“I am always looking for innovative ways to connect with fans that have been so incredibly supportive of my career and music, as well as gain exposure to future fans,” said J Balvin in a statement. “Partnering with Fortnite is an out of this world way to perform a concert in 2020.”
