Applications are open for Mountain BizWorks’ Waypoint Accelerator program, which provides tailored mentorship and advising to up to eight early-stage outdoor-focused companies in Asheville and Western North Carolina. This year’s cohort will begin in December.

Every month, a handful of Queen City-based companies headline Charlotte PitchBreakfast, pitching their products and services for a total of five minutes, after which they will answer questions from the audience and a panel of entrepreneurs and experts. This month’s event will be held virtually.

For NCBiotech’s next Flash Grant cycle, up to $20,000 may be requested for short, highly focused projects in these areas: Microbiome/microbiota in health and disease states, SARS-CoV-2 gastrointestinal effects and SARS-CoV-2 detection via wastewater.

Mecklenburg County CARES Small Business Relief Grant Applications Close

Mecklenburg County is offering one-time grants of up to $25,000 to assist local small businesses that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic due to stay-at-home orders. (Note: The application period will close when all grant funds have been awarded or reallocated, but no later than November 27.)
