DURHAM – Clorox is bringing more jobs – and they are high paying ones – to Durham.
This time Clorox is moving its Better Health Vitamins, Minerals and Supplement group headquarters to the Bull City. It’s investing $7.5 million to do so. And the firm will receive state tax incentives.
New jobs – 158 are promised – will pay an average of $123,000. That’s well above the $71,000 averages for compensation in Durham.
The expansion will include a new research and development center.
Jobs will include IT, management, marketing, sales, finance, and research and development personnel

The Durham operation for Clorox is built around Burt’s Bees which Clorox acquired in 2007. The company already has some 500 employees in Durham and at a production facility in Morrisville.
Gov. Roy Cooper announced the relocation.

Tax incentives could top $2 million in rebates if new job goals are met.
