RALEIGH – CBRE Retail Services, Investor Leasing and Life Sciences groups are pleased to announce they have been awarded leasing responsibilities by Northwood Investors for its redevelopment of the former Northgate Mall just north of Downtown Durham along I-85 in Durham, NC. Northwood Investors’ in-house management platforms, Northwood Ravin, Northwood Retail, Northwood Office, and Northwood Hospitality, will work together to transform the site into a mixed-use development across 55 acres.

Northgate will include over one million square feet of retail, Class A and creative office, residential, hospitality and life sciences. The project, which will begin this year, is ideally positioned among established Durham neighborhoods and has tremendous interstate access and visibility.

Northgate will evolve as an amenity-rich environment for the community. Residents, employees and visitors alike will be able to enjoy the convenience of modern amenities, including a variety of retail, everyday services and a vibrant culinary scene. The pedestrian-friendly design will feature outdoor patios, plazas and public green spaces within steps from shops, offices and residential units. The community gathering spaces will offer the perfect setting for cultural events and seasonal activations.

The leasing responsibilities for the project will be handled by the collaboration of CBRE Investor Leasing, Retail Services and Life Sciences groups.
