RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – GRAIL, the California-based biotech firm targeting cancer, is moving ahead quickly with plans to open a massive 200,000 square foot laboratory in RTP and is looking to hire “more than 100 workers” this year for a variety of positions.
The firm, which plans to hire some 400 people in all, also has hired a leader for the RTP operation. He is Andrew Crenshaw, “a native North Carolinian with more than 20 years of experience in the clinical and biomedical research industry, recently joined GRAIL as vice president of operations and RTP site director,” according to the company.

GRAIL announced plans for the RTP expansion last year with an investment of more than $100 million. The facility is expected to open this spring.
Average pay for jobs is expected to be $71,000.

A virtual “oepn house” for the facility is set for April 27.
