The shopping returns mobile app from Return Queen launched in the Charlotte market last week, and the company is already testing its service in the Triangle.

The company, which is based in New York City, opened a logistics facility in the Charlotte market earlier this month, which is overseen by a facility manager and services a 60-mile radius from the site, which means parts of the Triad and upstate South Carolina could also have access to the platform.

“The decision to expand our presence into the Charlotte area was a logical step in our business growth strategy.” said Melissa Sprich, the vice president of growth for the company in a statement.  “This area is the most populated city in the state and one of the fastest growing metro areas in the U.S.”

The company now provides service to more than 2,800 zip codes, and people in the Triangle will be able to access the platform and the company’s services within the next 30 days, said Sprich, as the company has already soft launched in the region.

The app works by allowing its users to view all their online purchases and choosing which ones to return.  The company provides a single bag to its customers, enabling a single point of contact for any and all returns.  The company generates revenue from membership fees.
