DURHAM – Cancer Diagnostics will acquire Anatech Ltd. in a move that the company’s founder and CEO Patrick O’Neill said would provide greater options for the company and its customers, and allow for more control over manufacturing.

The company Cancer Diagnostics is acquiring, Anatech Ltd., was founded in 1984 and supplies products for anatomical pathology.  According to a statement, Anatech Ltd. will continue to operate from their facility in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Cancer Diagnostics was founded in 1998, and developed the first commercially available 7-dye color system for marking tissue margins.  The company stated that it supplies more than 6,000 customers with more than 7,000 products across 50 countries.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
