MORRISVILLE – The cybersecurity company SilverSky, headquartered in Morrisville, will acquire a New Jersey company, Advanced Computer Solutions Group.

And more acquisitions could follow, the company saying the acquisition “marks the company’s first in a series of planned acquisitions.”

Silversky says it aims to grow its footprint across what it has deemed are key industries, including education.

The acquisition of Advanced Computer Solutions Group will add to SilverSky’s customer base in higher education and in K-12 education, the company noted in its statement.

SilverSky offers managed detection and response (MDR) services.  The acquisition of ACSG will deepen the company’s offerings, the company noted in its statement.  Prior to the acquisition, ACSG appeared three times on the Inc. 5000 List, and the company experienced 80% growth within the prior three years, the statement noted.

Justin Jackson, now the former CTO and CEO at ACSG, will become the CTO of SilverSky, and will remain in New Jersey.

SilverSky is headed by Richard Dobrow, a part of the team that worked to acquire SilverSky from BAE Systems in November 2020 in a deal where terms were not disclosed.  BAE Systems had acquired SilverSky in 2014 for $235 million.

The company has been operating since 1997.
