GREENVILLE – Grover Gaming, Inc. has acquired the assets of Digital Dynamics Software, Inc., with the objective of enhancing game player experience, the company said in a statement.

The acquisition is also expected to connect SAS-based gaming systems [not to be confused with Cary-based SAS[ and add casino communications to the company’s proprietary software, the company stated.

Grover which was recently named one of the nation’s fastest 850 growing companies by Inc., is also expanding its footprint into the Chicago region with the acquisition Digital Dynamics Software, based in Lake Zurich, Illinois.

According to the statement, is considered an industry leader in SAS Engine software, backdrop host systems, and SAS gateways.

“Their GLI-certified system easily connects any SAS-based gaming devices and is designed to interoperate with system vendors worldwide,” the statement reads.

That technology will be integrated into Grover Gaming’s existing systems, which the company said would enable it “to offer customers floor-wide accounting and ticketing, real-time floor display, enhanced reporting, and player tracking and rewards.”

The company is based in Greenville, has a design studio in Wilmington, North Carolina, and has more than 300 employees based in 9 states.  It planned to hire dozens of people in the second quarter of 2020, and received a state incentive package in December 2020 with the intent of adding an additional 200 jobs in the state, according to prior WRAL TechWire reporting.

Grover Gaming currently lists 34 available jobs on its careers website.

The company is licensed in OhioNew Hampshire, The Commonwealth of KentuckyNorth DakotaSouth DakotaMontanaWyomingWashingtonOntario Canada, and The Commonwealth of Virginia, it said in a statement.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
