FLAT ROCK – Mavidon, a manufacturer and distributor of products used in neurology, has relocated the company’s headquarters to North Carolina from Florida.

The company noted in a statement that the move was made in order to increase staff levels in a larger facility that also enables the company to decrease shipping times.

Mavidon, which was founded in 1986, and purchased by Tim Carroll, president of Mavidon, in 1993. It acquired European Research Labs in 2004.

The new location for the company is in Flat Rock.

“We are more centrally located in the United States now which allows us to save a day or two on shipping for our North American customers,” said Carroll in a statement.

According to the company’s LinkedIn profile, 20% of its business is contract packaging and private labeling, and the company currently employs between 2 and 10 people.

The company noted in a statement that it plans to release new products later this year.
