RALEIGH – Veranex has bought a French preclinical science organization, IMMR, in a deal the company announced today.

Veranex was formed in June with backing from Summit Partners.

Here’s how the company positions itself:

“Veranex is the first truly end-to-end, global, tech-enabled, concept-through-commercialization service provider that focuses solely on medical technology: medical device, diagnostics, companion diagnostics, digital health, and drug delivery. For all your needs through the entire medical device clinical trial process, Veranex is transforming medtech innovations.”

The company said in a statement Tuesday that the acquisition results in the company gaining “state-of-the-art, FDA-inspected and AAALAC-accredited facilities and extensive in-house expertise, enhancing Veranex’s services for preclinical studies worldwide.”

The combined company will focus on needs in the medtech industry, Veranex added.

The company acquired Experien Group in August.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
