RALEIGH – Wearable device manufacturer Garmin has signed a new 12-year lease that will relocate its Triangle-based office, and the new location will be 63,213 square feet of office space at Regency Creek in the Regency Office Park in Cary.

Garmin sells wearable devices such as smarthwatches and navigation devices for vehicles.

The company expects to move in to the new facility in April 2022, according to a statement from Spectrum Companies, the commercial real estate firm involved in the deal, which was shared with WRAL TechWire.

Garmin will bring all of its Triangle employees into the building, and will serve as the facility’s anchor tenant, occupying the entire third and fourth floor and part of the first floor.

Garmin had 35 employees based in the Triangle in 2010, and now has more than 150, the statement noted.

The company, which is headquartered in Kansas, anticipates further growth in the Triangle, according to Garmin and Spectrum Companies.

“This collaborative project with Spectrum Companies was made possible by our decade-long relationship with the Town of Cary, the Cary Chamber of Commerce, and the valued contributions of our company’s associates. Its completion will position Garmin for growth well into the future,” said Chris Koszarsky, director of engineering for Garmin’s Cary office.
