WHITSETT – Pratt Southeast Displays, LLC will close its facility in Guilford County, and the company will lay off 81 employees starting on Jan. 9, 2022, according to a required WARN notice filed with the North Carolina Department of State.

In the notice, the company notes that the entire facility at 6550 Judge Adams Road in Whitsett, N.C., will be closed, and all separations will be completed, by Jan. 15, 2022.  The closure of the facility will be permanent.

The firm is a subsidiary of Pratt Industries, which according to the company’s website is the fifth largest corrugated packaging company in the United States.

The company planned to hire as many as 400 workers, according to reporting from the Triad Business Journal in March 2017, when the facility was newly occupied by the subsidiary company.

The 520,000 square foot building was acquired in 2017 by Gramercy Property Trust of New York and the 360,000 square foot facility occupied by Pratt was formerly occupied by Ralph Lauren, according to reporting by the Charlotte Business Journal.
