RALEIGH – Cadient Talent, a hiring platform for hourly workers, has named a former SAS executive as its new chief data scientist.

Stuart Nisbet, a 30-year veteran at SAS, has been charged with transforming Cadient’s machine learning capabilities. The platform supports high-volume hourly hiring.

“We are excited to expand our data analytics offerings to help make our clients jobs easier,” said Jim Buchanan, Cadient’s CEO, in a statement. “Stuart will help our clients further predict hiring trends by providing them a clear visual representation of their hiring and retention needs.”

Nisbet served as head of research and development and a leader in applications of SAS technology for artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and deep learning. He also directed a global team responsible for the strategic development and management of SAS Advanced Analytics, Business Intelligence, Customer Intelligence, DevOps, UX/UI, and Data Management solutions.

In April 2019, Cadient Talent announced the formation of the new company that provides a software solution for high-volume, hourly hiring of candidates for a distributed workforce.

Services include assessments, background checks, work opportunity credit screening and drug testing services, offering today’s busy hiring managers a complete and comprehensive applicant tracking and onboarding system.
