CARY – For all you gamers out there who have been playing Fortnite to help pass time while governments and companies are forcing you to stay home during the COVID-19 pandemic, there’s some bad news.
The new “season” for the globally popular online game is being delayed.
So says Cary-based Epic Games, the creator of Fortnite.
“We’re extending Chapter 2 – Season 2 of Fortnite beyond the original April 30 date,” Epic says in a blog post.
“Our plan is to launch Chapter 2 – Season 3 on June 4.”
However, Epic says it’s adding “lots of content coming in the current Season. We have multiple game updates on the way that will deliver fresh gameplay, new Challenges, bonus XP, and a couple more surprises up our sleeve!”
