RALEIGH – No longer are drones just playthings for hobbyists. Thanks to technological advances, drones are finding their ways into industries such as transportation, energy, agriculture, recreational, marketing, photography, entertainment, police, and the military.

The uptick: a surge in jobs to work with these flying machines.

To find about these opportunities, a webinar is being hosted by North Carolina Community College System’s Career and Technical Education on  Thursday, April 23,

“We will look at all the great careers in this area, as well as the training programs that will get you hired,” it said in its release.

Each month, the group gathers to discuss the large career exploration events happening across the state, as well as explore information about job projections and predictions for the future workforce.
