RALEIGH – Raleigh Founded is delighted to announce that it is partnering with the UNC Entrepreneurship Center at Kenan-Flagler to help businesses within the community scale more effectively through the Scale School. The UNC Scale School is a program designed to help developed entrepreneurs scale their companies to the next levels of growth and success.

The partnership between Raleigh Founded and the UNC Scale School will focus on providing a full scholarship to one Raleigh Founded member that can be applied to any Scale School course. These courses are built with entrepreneurs, like those at Raleigh Founded, in mind, and will allow entrepreneurs to really get at the heart of what skills are critical for scaling a company. Scale School will also be offering some free workshops to Raleigh Founded members and the community at large.

Vickie Gibbs, the Executive Director for the UNC Entrepreneurship Center says:

“We recognized that there is a gap in support for scaling companies, and that was the inspiration for creating Scale School – to bring the expertise of The Entrepreneurship Center at Kenan-Flagler to help scaling companies get to the next level of growth and success.
We are proud to be partnering with Raleigh Founded to bring these tools and resources to you as a part of their member community. Raleigh Founded is an organization with a long history of building support and community around entrepreneurs in the Triangle, a purpose that both of our organizations share.”

The team at Raleigh Founded is thrilled that this great opportunity will be able to be given to one of their members to help them continue to grow, scale, and thrive within their entrepreneurial efforts.

“We wanted to partner with UNC’s Scale School because they have a unique offering: a program that is specifically designed to cater to growing and scaling companies, “ explains Jess Porta, Director of Raleigh Founded.
“In our ecosystem, we have a lot of early stage resources but very few resources for scaling companies so we are excited to be able to have it as a resources for our members and have a way support an entrepreneur who might not otherwise be able to afford the program. It’s a great compliment to some of the awesome partnerships we have with other universities as well”
