RALEIGH – The North Carolina Technology Association’s annual “State of Technology” conference opens Wednesday featuring a top executive from IBM and a Startup Showcase event featuring six N.C. firms.

The focus is on “Total Experience: Thhe intersection of customer, employee and user experiences.”

The two-day event will be virtual.

“Enabled by hybrid cloud, AI, data automation, IoT, edge computing and more, Total Experience gives organizations a competitive advantage, especially in response to circumstances such as the pandemic,” NC TECH says.

Among the highlights:

· Day 1 opening keynote from IBM head of design Phil Gilbert reflecting upon lessons learned from the World’s largest design transformation
· Day 2 opening keynote from NC Dept. of IT chief customer officer Jon Minshew and business relationship management director Jamie Wood on the TX citizen experience
·  Breakout panel sessions that explores TX for small and mid-size companies; the intersection of DE&I and the employee experience; how AI and machine learning factor into TX; and more
·   TECH Talks from Apiture, Syneos Health and Learn Platform
