RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – In a video appearance at today’s Lenovo Tech World 2021 event, IBM’s Stephen Leonard, the Global Alliance Leader in support of Kyndryl, according to a LinkedIn profile, described a partnership between Lenovo and Kyndryl as essential for Kyndryl to “drive for hypergrowth coming out of the gate as a stand alone entity.”

The partnership involves the deployment of Lenovo’s TruScale, which the company announced at Tech World that it has expanded in a move to provide “Everything-as-a-Service.”

“Because TruScale is flexible in the design stage, we can meet business requirements in a cost-optimized way,” said Leonard.  “Addressing unique needs rather than limiting options to whatever we’ve boxed up on the truck.”

Leonard said that IBM, and soon, Kyndryl, has been involved in setting up large, complex systems for about 75 of the Fortune 100 companies, noting that Lenovo’s TruScale offering enables this.

“Comprehensive consumption model,” said Leonard, “Central to our growth over the coming years”

Demand for infrastructure-as-a-service should grow substantially over the next two to three years, said Leonard.   “Having the ability to implement this solution today,” said Leonard, provides Kyndryl, and the businesses which it serves, an “exponential opportunity for growth.”
