CHARLOTTE – In person or virtual for events as 2022 nears and challenges from COVID continue? The annual Outlook for Tech event, organized and hosted by the North Carolina Technology Association, or NC TECH, is going to off options for both choices.

The conference held at the UNC Charlotte Marriott Hotel & Convention Center is set for Jan. 28, 2022, and until the end of the year, registration is discounted.

The event will includes panel discussions of technology executives, a keynote address focused on predicting trends in technology, an innovation briefing, and the release of the annual NC TECH “State of the Technology Industry” report, according to the NC TECH website.

Registration is currently open, for in-person attendance and for virtual attendance.

NC TECH recently released a new index that tracks innovation within technology hubs, with Durham and Raleigh each ranking in the top seven metropolitan areas nationally.  Charlotte ranked 27th nationally.

One of the authors of that index, Ted Abernathy, will be a speaker at the NC TECH Outlook for Tech event.

Other speakers include Mike Monday, the North America Banking Security Lead for Accenture, who will deliver a keynote on industry trends in cybersecurity, and Sharyn Leaver, a senior vice president, research, for Forrester, who will deliver a predictions keynote.

A panel focused on cybersecurity will include Devon Arendosh, CISO of Brighthouse Financial, Donna Hard, CISO of Ally Financial, and Chuck Kesler, CISO of Pendo.
